Fleet Pond - Summer Rain

Another wet day, has been a really wet June so far. Miserable weather and actually pretty cold. Was fully waterproofed up today. The brook was pretty high and fast flowing. Walked up and around Pyestock / Hartland Village. Loads of development going on there which I'm not so thrilled by.

The paths were pretty flooded again

Fleet Pond - The insects are out, lots to see today

A really beautiful walk despite being wet from 24 hours of rain. Saw a really nice Common Blue Butterfly and some Ladybird Larvae which was cool. Didn't actually fancy heading out, the weather looked a bit rubbish from indoors, but it's amazing how nice things can turn out if you just leave the house.

Still cold, but a pleasant walk around the pond

Had a nice walk around the pond. It was good to see a lovely new memorial bench in place. The Fleet Pond Society really do look after the pl...
